SQL Server DBA, performance tuning, HA/DR, and cloud
Over 20 years I've worked as a SQL Server DBA and consultant on the problems companies actually hire for: SQL Server performance tuning, query and index tuning, execution plan and Query Store analysis, and blocking and deadlock resolution; high availability and disaster recovery with Always On Availability Groups, Windows Server Failover Clustering, log shipping, and replication; and SQL Server migrations and upgrades spanning SQL Server 2000 through 2025.
On the cloud side I handle Azure SQL (Database and Managed Instance) and AWS RDS for SQL Server, hybrid database architectures, plus IIS and Windows Server administration. I also build the automation around the database: SSIS ETL pipelines, SSRS and Power BI reporting, PowerShell and SQL Server Agent jobs, and C#/.NET and REST API data integration.
